We designed this steam train after we had collected enough of the large wheels to make an engine, tender, passenger coach and caboose. The engine has a long cylindrical boiler with a chain clip on top emulating a bell. Individual chain pieces were used to represent a load of coal in the open tender. An identical axle design was used for all cars so they could be easily hooked together. This design consists of five connectors attached in parallel to a yellow rod, with an axle spacer separating them from the large wheel and tan connector. Additional axle spacers and dark grey connectors were used to fill out the lower walls of the passenger coach. Many red connectors attached to red rods formed the base of the caboose. The simple track-and-ties design consists of sections of yellow rods and yellow connectors attached together with green rods.
