Without delay, F2 (otherwise, CHAOS eventually creates a drone robot to destroy
your probe)
Click on recall console
Click on Recall Sequence button
Click on Set Target button
Click on Initialize button
(actually, the order of buttons pressed appears to be arbitrary, except that
when the Abort button is pressed first, the game ends in failure)
A long Endgame/Credits sequence then follows (apparently not skippable)
- Must wait for direction button light to go out before the next direction
mouse click is recognized
- Warning: pressing Esc key during movie playback may hang PC
- Save game directory defaults to CD-ROM drive (typical Director problem)
- Also has Director problem of images "jumping down" on the screen
- Many redundant position nodes when traversing corridors/mazes
- Some scientific statements/images in databases questionable
- Would have preferred more color in grey/green interface
- Lack of inventory; nothing much to open or explore
- Too much technical jargon, such as misleading button labels -- "Hyper"
should be something like 360, "Mode" could be Stealth, etc.
- Random access of "FCX Data" would be more efficient than sequential access
- Game not challenging, basically just follow the instructions (35-minute
playing time)
